NFL “Randomly” Drug Tests NY Giants Players Immediately After Loss To Packers

Talk about insult to injury…

According to 247 Sports, immediately following the NY Giants 38-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau the NFL reportedly “randomly” drug tested QB Eli Manning and two of his New York Giants teammates.

Many thought drug tests were eminent for the group of players after rumors of heavy drug usage on the boat which Giants wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr., Sterling Shepard, Victor Cruz, and Roger Lewis Jr. were seen on in Miami. Eli Manning was tested though he did not join the wide receiving drew in South Beach.

Having to submit a drug test is apparently standard protocol in the NFL, though players have gone on the record saying they don’t like it.

“I don’t like how the NFL has us drug test right after the game,” Redskins cornerback Josh Norman said in September. “I don’t understand that. It’s crazy. I don’t have anything left in the tank, yet they want you to drug test. It’s crazy. I don’t understand it. I don’t get it. I really don’t. Shoot — we can’t wait until tomorrow?” (NJ.com)
