Steelers CB Ross Cockrell Gets Knocked Unconscious After Being Drilled By Own Teammate

Today’s Steelers/Dolphins Wildcard game is something out of the 1990’s of football. Below freezing temperatures, hard-nosed football and concussions.

After Dolphins QB Matt Moore was blown up by a Steelers defender, he threw a beautiful pass to Miami’s Devante Parker. Parker was covered by Ross Cockrell, who was nailed with a helmet to helmet hit by his own teammate, safety Mike Mitchell. Cockrell appeared to be knocked unconscious momentarily.

Somehow, Cockrell was cleared to return in the second half.
