Colin Kaepernick was the center of a national debate when he decided to protest the National Anthem during the season.
Kaepernick, who chose to kneel during the National Anthem prior to the start of NFL games last season in protest of social inequality in the United States believes that his method of protest has resulted in positive change in the United States.
Kaepernick believes the amount of national discussion on social inequality, as well as support form other NFL and NBA players, women’s soccer and college and high school athletes nationwide has affirmed the message he was trying to deliver.

In addition to his protest, Kaepernick has donated millions to different charities in the Bay Area.
