The Patriots just won the Super Bowl and leave it to Bill Belichick to have an even better roster just two months later. Apparently, he’s not even done.
According to ESPN’s Adam Shefter, Belichick and New England will meet with Adrian Peterson Monday to discuss bringing in the former MVP.
Former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will be taking his first free-agent visit Monday with the New England Patriots, per sources.

Peterson, who was released by the Vikings in late February, has drawn interest from numerous teams including the NY Giants and of course, the Patriots. Other potential suitors include the Buccaneers, Raiders and Texans.
With the Patriots recently saying they won’t draft Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon, who punched a woman two years ago, the meeting does bring up a conundrum involving a player’s off-the field issues. Peterson has had serious troubles himself, including a DUI, and most recently, allegations of child abuse. Apparently you can hit women but not children.
