It was thought that perhaps Jay Cutler was maybe content with his NFL career and would nimbly retire after 11 years in the league. Apparently that wasn’t the case.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Jay Cutler expressed interest in becoming a Texan, but there was one problem. Houston wouldn’t return his phone calls.

Coming off the worst season of his career where he was only limited to five starts due to injury, the former Bears quarterback was turned down for backup QB Tom Savage and rookie QB Deshaun Watson, who the team took with the number 12 pick of this year’s draft.
