Broadcasting icon Chris Berman’s wife of 33 years, Kathy Berman, has reportedly died in a car accident in rural Connecticut on Tuesday.

The 67-year-old leaves behind the couples two children, Meredith and Douglas.

The two-car crash also killed the other driver, 87-year-old Edward Bertulis, of Waterbury, Connecticut. Bertulis reportedly rear ended Berman.

John Skipper, ESPN’s president, released a statement on the matter –

“This is a devastating tragedy and difficult to comprehend. Chris is beloved by all his ESPN colleagues and for good reason: He has a huge heart and has given so much to so many over the years. We know how much his family means to him and all we can do at a moment like this is give him the love and support he will surely need at this hour. Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris, Meredith, Doug and the entire family.”

Chris Berman joined ESPN in 1979. He married Kathy four years later.

Berman, whose birthday is today, just recently left his position as a host of ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown after 31 years.

Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused .. Any tips? Cheers!
