Former Packers running back Ahman Green is the all-time leading rusher in Green Bay’s history, and may also lead the category of all-time most absurd way to get arrested.
Green is facing charges after a Sunday night incident at his home in Ledgeview, Wisconsin, where he allegedly assaulted his daughter for not doing the dishes.
According to a police report Green is accused of punching his 15-year-old in the face. She was left with a swollen eye and two small scratches.
Green’s daughter said that her father dragged her into the kitchen, and then threw her to the ground and up against kitchen cabinets, ripping her shirt in the process. He then made her put away the dishes, only to punch her in the face soon after. She then fled to a neighbors house and called police.
Green was taken in and charged with physical abuse of a child-intentionally causing bodily harm (a felony) and disorderly conduct (a misdemeanor), in essence, child abuse.
Green is schedule to appear in court on July 11th, and if charged, could face six years in jail and/or a $10,000 fine.
In the report, police spoke with four witnesses, but none said they saw Green strike his daughter. According to the report, Green admitted to police that he had been physical with his daughter.
