Dak Prescott Wins Best Breakthrough Athlete At 2017 ESPYs And Sends Message To NFC East

The story of Dak Prescott continued on Wednesday night as the Dallas Cowboys quarterback won the ESPY for Best Breakthrough Athlete of 2017:

Prescott led the Cowboys to a 13-3 record and NFC East title crown in his first season filling in for injured quarterback Tony Romo.

But prior to winning the award, Prescott made news during his red carpet interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter, guaranteeing the Cowboys would repeat as NFC East champions.

It’ll definitely be a challenge for Prescott as the Cowboys did lose some key pieces on their defense and also took lost two starters on their offensive line.

Not to mention, two of their three losses came at the hands of division rival New York Giants.

But one thing is for sure, Prescott is as confident as can be and for Cowboys fans, that’s all you can ask for in July.
