Things don’t get much more embarrassing than when an ex drudges up old footage of you from high school and posts it on Facebook.
Luckily for Tom Brady, his old school’s post wasn’t too embarrassing.
Brady’s high school, Junipero Serra High, posted what could be the future Hall-Of-Famer’s first recorded interview from 1994.
“Everybody tells me I have a pretty strong arm,” Brady said in the video when asked about his strengths. “I need to work on my speed a little bit. But hopefully that’ll come in time. Pretty good work ethic so I think I can get the job done.”
Brady apparently never got around to working on that speed (He ran a 5.28 40-yd. dash at the NFL combine in 2000) but the work ethic he mentioned helped him win five Super Bowls, so we’ll call it a wash.
Maybe the most surprising part of the video is that it’s 23 years old. Brady looks exactly the same in the video as he does now. I guess Brady is as ageless off the field as he appears to be on it.
This is awesome. Undeniably awesome.
