BREAKING: Ezekiel Elliott Suspended Six Games By The NFL

The Dallas Cowboys are looking to capitalize on a 13-3 season in 2016, but will have to start without their running back and the league’s leading rusher.

Ezekiel Elliott has been suspended six games by the NFL for violating the league’s Personal Conduct Policy following an investigation into domestic violence allegations.

Elliott was accused of five incidents of domestic violence during a six-day period in July 2016.

Beyond the domestic violence, the Cowboys running back was numerous other incidents including pulling a woman’s top down at a St. Patrick’s Day parade in March as well as allegedly breaking a DJ’s nose at a club in Dallas last month.

Here is the league’s official statement on the matter:

Elliott will reportedly appeal.
