After Starting With $200k Goal, J.J. Watt Has Now Raised $30 Million For Hurricane Harvey Victims

A little over a week ago, Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt began an online fundraiser campaign aimed at raising money for the people of Houston as they dealt with the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey.

We’re assuming he never could have dreamed how big it would become.

Watt’s initial challenge to his social media following was to raise a now seemingly measly $200,000. When they blew past that in a matter of hours, Watt raised the stakes to $1 million. When they blew past that, Watt raised $10 million.

As of Friday, Watt has now raised a whopping $30 million dollars, and counting.
