Cincinnati Player Gets Flagged 15 Yards For Pointing Out The Word ‘Cincinnati’ On Jersey After TD

The penalizing of touchdown celebrations has gotten out of hand.

Bearcats RB Mike Boone ran in a score during the first quarter vs Michigan and was subsequently flagged for an unsportsmanlike-conduct (15 yards) for pointing out the word ‘Cincinnati’ on the front of his jersey.

The referee who made the call most likely thought Boone was doing a throat slash gesture, which is outlawed in football, but there’s one small problem – Boone did it nowhere near his throat.
