Vice President Mike Pence tweeted a photo of him and his wife Karen Pence in the stands awaiting the start of the Colts-49ers game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Looking forward to cheering for our @Colts & honoring the great career of #18 Peyton Manning at @LucasOilStadium today. Go Colts! pic.twitter.com/C3aCYUNpqG

Minutes later, Pence tweeted that he left the game before kickoff due to players kneeling during the National Anthem.
After many suspected the incident smelling like a PR stunt put on by Pence and President Donald Trump, someone noticed that the image Pence originally Tweeted out wasn’t even from Sunday’s game.
Turns out the picture was from a Colts game in 2014 which Pence attended with his wife.
Cheering on our @colts w/@FirstLadyIN as they kick off the 2nd half! Go #Colts, beat Jaguars! #JAXvsIND pic.twitter.com/V42n392s1O
