Donald Trump Said The NFL Should’ve Suspended Colin Kaepernick Last Season When He Kneeled During National Anthem

Despite the many issues surrounding the United States, the Commander and Chief continues his onslaught on the NFL and free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

During an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, which aired on Wednesday night, Trump stated that the anthem protest would not have been a “problem” if the NFL just suspended Kaepernick, when he first started his protest of racial injustices in America:

“I watched Colin Kaepernick and I thought it was terrible. And then it got bigger and bigger and started mushrooming. And frankly the NFL should have suspended him for one game and he would have never done it again,” Trump told Fox News’ “Hannity.”

“They could have then suspended him for two games and they could have suspended him again if he did it a third time, for the season, and you would never have had a problem,” he said. “But I will tell you – you cannot disrespect our country, our flag, our anthem, you cannot do that.”

While Americans continue to die in Puerto Rico and Flint, Michigan continues to not have clean water, the President continuing to attack the NFL over peaceful protests is astounding.
