This is officially the most Browns news ever.
With free agency now over, Cleveland stands at 0-8 and still without a quarterback – even though they thought they landed one.
News broke Tuesday afternoon that the team had gone after Bengals backup QB AJ Mccarran, only to have the deal fall through after it was close to getting done. That was apparently the Browns fault.
According to new reports, the Browns front office had started celebrating the Mccarran trade, only to forget to call the NFL to approve it before the 4PM Tuesday deadline, with voided any moves the Browns intended to make before it hit.
So it looks like the Browns either accidentally or deliberately failed to finalize the McCarron trade. I’m not sure which is worse.

On a day where the dysfunctional Dolphins trade a Pro Bowl running back for a fourth round pick, there are the Browns to prove it could be worse, much worse.
The Cleveland Browns can’t even get trading right.
