Luck wasn’t ready for the start of the season after having surgery on his right shoulder this offseason and after trying to work his way back to help the 2-6 Indianapolis Colts turn this season around, it never got right.

Luck recently returned to practice but suffered a setback that has now officially ended his season. The Colts will continue to ride QB Jacoby Brissett for the remainder of the season. The team also worked out Matt Barkley, Josh Johnson , Matt McGloin, Connor Shaw.

According to NFL Network, the team is expected to sign QB Josh Johnson.

As for Luck, he’ll continue to rehab his shoulder in hopes of returning in 2018. He told Colts.com that he has no doubt he’ll be ready but many are still concerned with Luck’s injury:

Heal up, Andrew!
