The Buffalo Bills sit at 5-4 and sit at second place in the AFC East but have decided to make a change at the quarterback position.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced on Wednesday that rookie Nathan Peterman will start at quarterback on Sunday, replacing the struggling Tyrod Taylor:

McDermott had this to say:
“We are in the playoff hunt and we are always focused on becoming the best team possible. We were made for better than 5-4.
I’ve been impressed with the maturity from Nathan Peterman. I’m comfortable making a calculated risk to try and get us where we need to go.”
The Bills are coming off an embarrassing 47-10 loss to the Saints. In that game, McDermott pulled Taylor in favor of Peterman and the rookie played reasonably well all be it in garbage time.
After the game, McDermott said he was sticking with Taylor but apparently after a few days of thought, he’s changed his mind.
If the playoffs started today, the Bills would be one of the six teams to make it in the AFC as they own the second Wild Card spot. They are looking to end a long playoff drought and hope the rookie out of Pittsburgh can help them accomplish that.
On Sunday in Los Angeles, Peterman will start against the Chargers.
