This does not sound good.

The Steelers announced the surgery was preformed on Monday night:
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center neurosurgeons and Pittsburgh Steelers team physicians Drs. David Okonkwo and Joseph Maroon performed spinal stabilization surgery on Ryan Shazier to address his spinal injury..
Shazier suffered early in the first quarter and was taken off the field on a stretcher and brought to a Cincinnati Trauma Center. It wasn’t until yesterday that he was transferred to a Pittsburgh hospital for surgery.
The Steelers have yet to release any information about whether or not Shazier has any movement in his legs, or whether he’s expected to make a recovery.
Fingers crossed.
