Antonio Brown Leaves Game vs Patriots With An Apparent Knee Injury

As the Pittsburgh Steelers look to defeat the New England Patriots and secure the No. 1 seed in the AFC, they may have to do it without their best offensive player.

All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown left the game after a collision in the end zone following an attempted pass. Brown landed awkwardly and appeared to favor his left ankle and foot.

Brown was helped off the field and did not put any weight on the foot/leg.

Eventually, when AB got to the sideline, he tried testing it with the help of medical trainers, putting a little more weight on it, but to no avail. Trainers escorted him to the medical tent, where he remained for a short time, before he was taken into the Steelers locker room.

According to CBS, Brown underwent X-rays.

The Steelers are calling Brown’s injury a calf injury and call his return questionable.

Brown entered the game with 99 catches for a league-high 1,509 yards and nine touchdowns on the season. With a reception earlier in the game, he became the first player in NFL history with 100 or more receptions in five consecutive seasons.
