Seahawks Fans Blast Earl Thomas For Being A “Trader” After He Lobbied To Play For Cowboys

After the Dallas Cowboys were eliminated at the hands of Earl Thomas and the Seattle Seahawks, safety Earl Thomas decided to run after Cowboys’ head coach Jason Garrett to lobby for the Dallas Cowboys to sign him if they can:

“If y’all have the chance, come get me,” Thomas said to Garrett, not so quietly as reporters waiting to enter the Cowboys locker room heard it.

It was a shocking moment, but it’s no surprise given the Seahawks internal issues this season despite the fact that the Seahawks are a Week 17 win and a Falcons loss away from clinching a playoff berth.

Thomas did himself no favors after reporters asked him about these bizarre comments once he made it to the Seahawks locker room:

“I went to the locker room to talk to Dez, and I saw coach Garrett,” Thomas said. “I’ve always been a Cowboys fan growing up. The biggest thing about when I said come get me is I don’t literally mean come get me now. I’m still in the prime of my career. I still want to be here. But when Seattle kicks me to the curb, please, the Cowboys, come get me. That’s the only other place I’d rather be If I was kicked to the curb. So that’s what I meant by it.

“People take life too serious. That’s just who I am.”

Seahawks fans weren’t buying Thomas’ reasoning and took to Twitter to blast him for being a traitor just minutes after defeating the Dallas Cowboys on the field:

Can you really blame Seahawks fans for being this angry?
