It wouldn’t be a New England Patriots game if there weren’t some sort of drama involving the referees.
The Patriots were in the midst of punting the ball back to the Titans late in the second quarter when of their players got called for a false start.
After announcing a false start, the referees huddled up and turned the false start into a neutral zone infraction against the Titans, giving the Patriots a first down.
That drive ended with the Patriots scoring a touchdown, going up 21-7:
So they call a false start. Then decide it was actually Trawick with a neutral zone infraction. Which, per the replay, is dead wrong. That’s awful.

That wasn’t the only questionable thing to happen. In the final seconds of the second quarter, the Titans lined up to go for it on 4th down.
They ended up being tackled short but replay showed Titans RB Derrick Henry having his facemask grabbed by a Titans defender:

The Titans were down 21-3 last week to Kansas City and were able to comeback and win the game.
