President Trump Took A Shot At NFL Players Who Kneel During Anthem During State Of Union

The President of the United States’ displeasure with NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem is well-documented.

During his first State of the Union address, President Trump took a shot at the league, praising a young boy in the audience as a reminder of “why we proudly stand of for the national anthem.”

Tuesday marked the very first State of The Union address for President Trump and it didn’t go without a bit of controversy. While introducing a guest at the State of the Union, Trump spoke about the importance of respecting the American flag. It was the same stance he took against NFL players during the 2017 season, even calling them ‘sons of bitches’ who should be fired for disrespecting the country.

The President appeared to take a shot at the league during Tuesday night’s State of the Union Address, praising a young boy in the audience as a reminder of “why we proudly stand for the national anthem.”
