Stephen A. Smith Blasts Packers, Says Aaron Rodgers Should Demand Trade

The Green Bay Packers surprised their franchise player, Aaron Rodgers by letting go of his quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt as part of their coaching changes this offseason.

In an interview with ESPN’s Golic and Wingo, Rodgers revealed that the Packers did not consult with him on the decision to let Van Pelt go:

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith took it to another level on Friday, declaring that the Packers’ decision to move on from Van Pelt should lead Rodgers to demanding a trade from Green Bay:

And he is so right. The Packers have wasted the most talented QB in the history of the NFL. He’s on a team that refuses to sign free agents but instead has opted to build around draft picks that have usually amounted to nothing.

When Rodgers was out of action this season, the Packers looked like one of the worst teams in the league, going 3-7 in the 10 games without him and being shutout twice in that span.

Maybe Aaron Rodgers should take Stephen A’s advice..
