Le’Veon Bell to the New York Giants?
That’s what Odell Beckham Jr. announced [jokingly] on his Instagram account on Saturday, posting a picture of himself and the Steelers RB with the caption, “Welcome the newest member of the giants ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ @steelerrb26 (ps change ur handle)”:
Bell, who played 2017 under the franchise tag, told reporters before the Steelers playoff game against the Jaguars, that he would contemplate retirement if the team tagged him again in 2018.
He’s expected to become a free agent if him and the Steelers don’t come to an agreement this offseason and while Bell did admit he is more encouraged with the way negotiations are going this time around, hitting the free agent market wouldn’t be a bad thing for the 25-year old running back.
As for the Giants, could they be in play for Bell’s services if he does hit the market? We’ll see but one thing is for sure, Odell Beckham is openly recruiting Bell to the Big Apple.
