REPORT: 49ers’ Reuben Foster Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

San Francisco 49ers inside linebacker Ruben Foster was arrested on Sunday on charges of domestic violence, threats and possession of an assault weapon.

This is the 49ers linebacker’s second arrest within a month. He was taken into custody on January 12th in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for second-degree marijuana possession.

According to the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department, Foster was arrested without incident in Los Gatos after police recieved a call around 9:15AM about a disturbance. He was held on $75,000 bail.

The San Jose Mercury News reports that the accuser was a women who was in a long-term relationship with Foster and that investigators found what looked like an assault rile inside the home where the incident occurred.

Under the NFL’s domestic violence policy, players are given a six-game suspension for a first incident and a lifetime ban for a second incident.
