Just weeks after the Chiefs shipped their starting quarterback to the Washington Redskins, it’s being reported that they’ll send one of their best defensive players to the Rams.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kansas City is close to finalizing a deal that will send cornerback Marcus Peters to Los Angeles.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport, the Chiefs were pushing to get back DE Robert Quinn along with draft picks in return for the 25-year-old two-time Pro Bowler, but will end up settling for just a package of future picks.
The addition for the Rams bolsters an already strong Wade Phillips defense lead by 2017 defensive player of the year Aaron Donald.
