It took a whole new career, but Tony Romo might finally end up winning something.
The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback turned sports broadcaster decided to retire and take up a gig in the booth with CBS in 2017, and hasn’t looked back.
Romo has been a fan favorite of most, with a habit of predicting plays before they even happen, giving insight from someone who knows exactly what’s happening on the field, considering he was playing on it a season ago.
Apparently, fans weren’t the only one’s who enjoyed Romo’s commentary.
On Thursday, CBS Sports announced that Romo had been nominated for an Emmy for his rookie season in the booth.

Other nominees include Kirk Herbstreit, John Smoltz as well as fellow CBS compatriots Gary Danielson, Brad Nessler and Jon Gruden.
