REPORT: Seahawks Postponed Visit With Colin Kaepernick Because He Refused To Stop Kneeling During Anthem

The Seattle Seahawks postponed an upcoming workout with free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick after he “declined to stop kneeling during the national anthem” next season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Since opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March 2017, Kaepernick has not signed with another NFL team and it is widely regarded that this is because his decision to kneel during the playing of the national anthem in protest of the racial injustices in America.

This wasn’t the first time the Seahawks showed interest in Kaepernick, last season, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters that Kaepernick was “a starter in this league. We have a starter but he is a starter in this league and I can’t imagine somebody won’t give him a chance to play.”
