A pretty cheerleader taking balls to the face by the team’s quarterback is a love story as old as time, but this time around, it was a little different.
Oklahoma held their annual Red/White Spring game on Saturday in Norman, when quarterback Austin Kendall fired an errant pass that nailed a cheerleader standing on the sideline in the grill. The moment was captured on video:
OU cheerleader Kylie Fears got hit in the face by an Austin Kendall (@A_Kendall11) pass during the Red-White game Saturday. The good news is she’s ok and had a good sense of humor about the whole situation. Kendall made sure to check in on her last night. pic.twitter.com/w6KE7lloeV

In Kendall’s defense, she was wide open.
