Jaguars WR Dede Westbrook Says Blake Bortles Is The Next Tom Brady

The Jacksonville Jaguars are all-in on Blake Bortles after passing up the opportunity to bring in another quarterback this offseason with a wealth of talented QBs on the market.

Regardless, the Jaguars are coming off a season where they were one quarter away from reaching the Super Bowl with Bortles under center and have beaten the Patriots already this season – and the team has their QB’s back.

In a piece done by Bleacher Report, when the topic of getting over the hump [in beating the Patriots in the AFC title game] came up, second-year Jacksonville WR Dede Westbrook noted, “Tom Brady’s great, but he’s been playing football for a really, really, really long time. Who’s to say Blake won’t be that person when he puts that many years in?”

When asked if Westbrook thinks Bortles can reach the point of being the next Brady, he responded with, “Facts. Most definitely.”

Strong praise for his quarterback.
