This Stat Makes The Khalil Mack Trade Look Even Worse For Raiders

It’s been a rough start to Jon Gruden’s returning tenure with the Oakland Raiders.

Not only is the team 0-3, but after trading away superstar pass rusher Khalil Mack, the team has found no viable replacement or replacements to rush the passer.

This stat makes sums up how awful the trade is for Oakland.

“According to Chris Trapasso of the Buffalo News, using data compiled by Pro Football Focus, the Raiders are dead last in the NFL in pressure rate: The Raiders have faced 98 dropbacks this season and only pressured the opposing quarterback 19 times. That pressure rate of 19.4 percent is the worst in the league.

The conventional stats tell the same story: The Raiders have recorded only three sacks this season, the fewest in the NFL. It doesn’t make Gruden look great when the Bears lead the NFL with 14 sacks.”

Mack has recorded a sack and a forced fumble in each of his first three games with the Bears.
