“America’s team” isn’t just a mantra.
Whether fans tuned in to watch the Cowboys get embarrassed by who we thought was undoubtably the best team in the NFL, or see the unthinkable happen with a Dallas win, the masses came out to watch Thursday night.
The Cowboys and their stout defense shut down Drew Brees and the Saints high powered offense to a tune of only allowing 10 points, topping New Orleans 13-10 to move their win streak to four games while ending the Saints’ streak at ten.
The game finished with a 14.6 rating, the highest ever for a Thursday night game in NFL history.
