This had to have been the play of the game.
During the third quarter of Super Bowl LIII, the Patriots were up 3-0 and the Rams were driving to potentially take the lead.
During that drive, it was Patriots cornerback Jason McCourty who made an amazing play to break up a would-be Rams’ TD in the back of the end zone on that drive where the Rams had to settle for a field goal.

What makes this play even more amazing is the fact that McCourty was nearly 20 yards away from Brandin Cooks when Jared Goff released the pass:

The Patriots went on to defeat the Rams, 13-3 in large part to great defensive plays like this.
