After an AFC Championship birth in 2017, the Jacksonville Jaguars decided to keep Blake Bortles under center despite the team winning not because of him, but in spite of him.
Well, as many foresaw, Jacksonville’s defense couldn’t put together back-to-back historic seasons and finished with a record of 5-11 in 2018.
With a large enough sample size to definitively realize Blake Bortles is not the franchise QB the Jaguars were looking for when they drafted the UCF prospect in 2014.
Looking to move on, the team is reportedly expected to sign former Eagles QB and Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles after Foles became an unrestricted free agent last week.
