The final episode of “Game of Thrones” set records as it brought in a series record 19.3 million viewers. The finale broke the record set by last week’s episode, “The Bells” which brought in 18.4 million viewers.
Those are some impressive numbers and show how incredibly popular the show was. But do you know what else is insanely popular and also happens to air on Sundays?
The NFL.
Fox Sports’ Michael Mulvihill posted this insane viewership stat that shows who much the NFL rules the country:

Despite being one of the most popular shows ever, if Game of Thrones was an NFL game, it would rank 71st, right behind last season’s Week 6 matchup between the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers. With 13.6 million live viewers, the Game Of Thrones finale would have ranked 71st among all NFL games in live viewership last season.

Remember when people said the NFL was a dying league?
