Rob Gronkowski Couldn’t “Sleep For Weeks After Taking Routine Hit” In Super Bowl

Andrew Luck’s shocking retirement due to injuries has shed light on the brutal reality of what NFL players go through on a daily basis.

Former Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski, who also retired still in the prime of his career due to injuries was at a CBD event in New York City and discussed the scary moments he faced following what he called a “routine hit” during Super Bowl 53:

“I flipped in the air, and I knew my quad was done,” the 30-year-old said. “I knew it was right there and then, I was like, ‘Last game, Super Bowl game. Just give it all you have.’”

After the game was over, Gronkowski said he could barely walk and had to have his knee drained:
