REPORT: Broncos “Moving Closer To Fire Sale” And “Could Trade” Von Miller

The Denver Broncos are 0-4 and as the season begins to slip away, there are growing rumbles that the Broncos could end up trading some of their biggest stars.

According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, Broncos GM John Elway is seriously considering “big moves in the coming weeks” and many rival general managers are hoping Von Miller becomes available in a potential trade:

John Elway is more seriously mulling big moves in the coming weeks, league sources said, with some rival general managers hopeful that overhaul could include even pass rushing legend Von Miller.

The Broncos, winless amid another coaching change and with a roster aging in key spots, have already begun getting exploratory trade calls ahead of the deadline, league sources said, with a handful of contending teams making it clear they value several of Denver’s veterans — Miller; defensive lineman Derek Wolfe, 29; corner Chris Harris, 30; and receiver Emmanuel Sanders, 32.

Sanders, Harris and Wolfe are all free agents at the end of the season and according to Jason La Canfora, “they have no intent to re-sign with the Broncos at this point.”

The 30-year old Von Miller has two-years remaining on his contract and could be the one player that brings in a boat load of draft picks and for a team like the Broncos, who are seemingly on the cusp of a full rebuild, maybe trading Miller is better in the long run.
