The Chiefs Super Bowl hopes are hanging on by a thread reliant on an MRI on the knee of Patrick Mahomes.
The Kansas City super star quarterback went down with a serious right leg injury during Thursday night’s Chiefs-Broncos game in Denver, and the diagnosis is a dislocated knee cap.
The prognosis relies on a MRI Mahomes will have that will determined the severity, which according to Dr. Mark Adickes, could either sideline Mahomes for a few weeks, or end his year with season-ending surgery.
Patrick Mahomes with patella (knee cap) dislocation. Can be treated without surgery and brace. Could miss just a few weeks. Could also have season ending surgery. MRI will determine which course.
