With Kyle Allen succeeding in place of the injured Cam Newton, all signs point to the Carolina Panthers parting ways with their franchise quarterback after this season.
Newton was placed on IR last week and is considering surgery to be fully recovered by the start of the 2020 season.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, that could be in blue and orange.

The Bears find themselves waiting for Mitch Trubisky to break through in year three since being drafted with the 2nd overall pick.
The UNC alum has shown flashes at times but struggled for the majority of his short career, seemingly holding an otherwise Super Bowl-contending team back.
Could Cam Newton be the piece that puts the Bears over the top? Only time will tell.
