It’s an end of an era in Carolina.
On Tuesday, the Carolina Panthers announced that they were firing longtime head coach Ron Rivera after nine seasons.
The news came as a surprise to many people including Cam Newton.
Newton took to Instagram hours after the announcement of the firing to react like so:
“WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL BECAUSE OF THE IMPACT YOU HAD ON MY LIFE. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME AN OPPORTUNITY,” NEWTON WROTE. “THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN ME. I CAN GO ON AND ON BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO BE ME.”
“This one hurt deep!!”
Newton is on injured reserve with a Lisfranc injury also has his job with the Panthers in question as the Panthers quarterback is entering the final year of his deal.
One thing is for curtain, a lot of changes are coming to Carolina with new owner David Tepper in charge.
