REPORT: Former Packers HC Mike McCarthy Could Replace Ron Rivera In Carolina

The Carolina Panthers shocked the football world when they fired Ron Rivera after nine seasons.

The Panthers will be in the market for a new head coach this offseason and there are already speculation about who the next head coach could be.

According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky — who covers the Green Bay Packers, Mike McCarthy could be potential candidate for the job in Carolina due to his ties to the Panthers owner David Tepper:

Panthers owner David Tepper admitted on Tuesday that firing Rivera allowed them to get a head-start on the head coaching search.
