Patriots Insider Says Tom Brady Could Sign With The Dolphins Next Season

With the almighty New England Patriots struggling (at least for their standards) some believe we could be watching the final quarters of Tom Brady in a Patriots uniform.

Many have speculated that Brady’s fractured relationship with head coach Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft could sway Brady to leave the only team he’s ever known for another franchise for one last go before walking off into the sunset.

NBC Sports Boston’s Tom Curran is one of those who is taking Brady leaving as a real possibility, and during an interview on The Rich Eisen Show, the Patriots insider said he feels that Brady could join a familiar AFC foe in the Miami Dolphins in 2020, just to stick it to the Patriots.

“What would be ideal? Honestly, Rich — knowing who he is, since he’s been in the public consciousness for 20 years and more? He wants to be able to prove something to somebody who thought that he couldn’t do something. That he was unable to continue at a level. And that’s why I keep coming back to the Miami Dolphins as a possibility,” Curran said.

Brady will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, with his deal being reworked so that he cannot be franchised tagged by New England.

The Boston Globe’s Bob Ryan, who has been covering Brady through this entire career, also went on record this week saying he sees Brady leaving at this season for another team.

Though the speculation will only grow more prevalent as the end of the season nears, it’s difficult to imagine #12 in a different uniform.

Brady’s hometown 49ers would be the most likely of options, but with his former predecessor leading San Fran to their best season in years, there would be no reason for the Niners to make a change. The Chargers perhaps with Rivers’ career seemingly coming to an end with the Bolts? Or perhaps the Dolphins? Only time will tell.
