Jerry Jones knew he had to make a splash with the hire of Jerry Jones’ replacement, and he did all he could to make sure his guy didn’t slip away.
The Cowboys hired Mike McCarthy to a 5-year deal Monday, replacing longtime head coach Jason Garrett, who was officially ousted on Sunday night.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys owner had the former Packers coach sleep over his house on Saturday night in order to seal to deal.
New Cowboys’ HC Mike McCarthy stayed over Jerry Jones’ house on Saturday night, per source. “Once you stay at Jerrry’s house, he doesn’t lose his guy,” said source.

One could only image McCarthy and Jones in their jammies building a fort out of Jerry’s couch cushions.
Of course, the internet made its jokes…
