Eli Manning, also sometimes known as Tom Brady’s arch nemesis, called it quits on his playing career Wednesday.
The Giants quarterback gained legendary status in New York after leading the G-Men to two Super Bowl victories, both over the Patriots, one year of which ended New England’s perfect season.
Luckily for most of us, Eli came through when it mattered most or To Brady would be sitting here with eight rings right now, and even Brady couldn’t help but make a reference to it with his congratulatory tweet.
Congratulations on your retirement, and a great career Eli! Not going to lie though, I wish you hadn’t won any Super Bowls.
