NBC Responds To ESPN’s Request To “Trade For” Al Michaels

ESPN just had their dreams shattered by NBC.

Last week, it was announced that the worldwide leader in sports wanted to put together a “dream-team” to broadcast Monday Night Football games by attempting to acquire Al Michaels from NBC Sports and team him with retired NFL quarterback Peyton Manning.

On Tuesday, Andrew Marchand reported yet again that NBC had declined ESPN’s initial request to engage in trade talks for broadcaster Al Michaels.

“We look forward to Al completing his contract and calling ‘Sunday Night Football’ games on NBC,” Greg Hughes, an NBC Sports spokesman, told Marchand.”

ESPN’s current team consists of Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland.
