It’s a sad day in Boston after Tom Brady took to social media and announced that he would not be returning to the New England Patriots after 20 seasons.

The six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback, who’s played for the Patriots since 2000, revealed that his football journey will continue elsewhere but did not point out where.

ESPN reporter Mike Reiss spoke with Robert Kraft, who went on record to state that he wanted Brady back, and spoke to him about Brady’s departure:

“Tommy initiated contact last night and came over. We had a positive, respectful discussion. It’s not the way I want it to end, but I want him to do what is in his best personal interest. After 20 years with us, he has earned that right. I love him like a son.”

Teams like the Chargers, Bucs, and Dolphins are reportedly on the list of teams interested in signing Brady.
