Christian McCaffery Signs Contract Extension Making Him Highest Paid RB In NFL History

Christian McCaffery was a electrifying prospect coming out of college and have lived up to expectations and it’s paying dividends.

The Panthers’ Swiss Army Knife inked a four-year extension Monday that makes him the highest paid running back in NFL history, unseating Ezekiel Elliott of the Cowboys.

The contract is worth $16 million annually ($64 million over four years).

McCaffery topped 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in 2019 while tying for the league lead in touchdowns (19) and finishing second in receptions (116). He is the only player with 2,500 rushing yards and 2,500 receiving yards in his first three seasons in league history.
