The day that many thought would come, has arrived.
After retiring relatively early, legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski is reportedly looking to play football again.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rappoport, Gronk has informed the Patriots that he wants to un-retire, circumstantial to if he can be traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to of course reunite with former longtime QB Tom Brady.
Sources: Retired #Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has told New England that he’s interested in playing football again — and would want to do it with the #Bucs and QB Tom Brady. A trade would have to be worked out for this to happen.

If Gronk simply were to un-retire, he would still be a Patriot, with one year ($10M) still remaining on his contract.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted that trade negotiations have already begun between New England and Tampa Bay.
