Somehow shocking yet the least bit surprising news broke Tuesday that tight end Rob Gronkowski would be looking to forego retirement and return to football.
Just a soon as Patriots fans got their hopes up, the contingency appears to be only if that involves catching passes from Tom Brady.
With Brady now in Tampa Bay, Gronk has noted that he would like the Pats to deal him to the Bucs, to which negotiations for a trade have reportedly already begun, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Patriots and Buccaneers have been discussing a trade for retired TE Rob Gronkowski, per league sources. Gronkowski has one year and $10 million left on his contract. But the two sides are, and have been talking, prior to Thursday’s draft.

The Buccaneers had already placed tight end OJ Howard on the trade blocks prior to the news.
