New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees appeared on Yahoo’s On The Move on Wednesday, and of course in the wake of George Floyd’s tragic murder at the hands of police, was asked about the topic of Colin Kaepernick peaceful protests back in 2016.
In his comments, Brees noted that he still does not agree with kneeling during the National Anthem and disrespecting the country’s flag as a means of protests.

Not too long after, Brees’ top target and star WR Michael Thomas appeared to blast his quarterback on Twitter, tweeting that “he doesn’t know better” in response to Brees’ comments.
He don’t know no better.

Thomas, along with teammates Alvin Kamara and Emmanuel Sanders have unfollowed Brees on social media.
Brees and Thomas have developed into statistically the league’s best QB/WR duo, and it will be interesting if any of this derails the connection to two have on the field.
